About me
About background, values and myself.
My name is Adina Nielsen. I am a graphic designer, living in Odense, Denmark together with my husband and our cat Thilde.
Originally grown up in Latvia, breezy town called Liepaja, I came to Denmark to study Multimedia design in 2010 and was quickly touched by the country’s culture, the way of living and most important, the highly valued nordic aesthetics and the important role of design.
I landed my first (part time) graphic designer job already in 2012 and never stopped from there. After receiving a professional bachelor’s degree in E-Concept Development in 2015, I pursued my professional journey by working in various Danish companies, which eventually led me to expanding my network that let me start as a full-time freelancer. Ever since, I’ve been grateful to been able to work with more than 50 clients – both local and abroad, expand my graphic design skills and experience, by always pushing the boundaries and finding the best solutions for every design challenge.
My greatest passion at work is to analyse, organise and visualise any given bit of information, and to form it in clear, understandable and beautiful way. Humans are visual beings and whether it is giving visually unique identity to a brand, or laying out a complicated data report, as a graphic designer, it is my mission to create a pleasing and comprehensible result of the highest standards.
As a person, I am outgoing and always value a good conversation. Humor is a great part of my personality, and I always enjoy a good laugh – or making others laugh. All together, I believe we all must embrace the “hygge”, no matter how long and busy our days can get. I always seek to learn and try new things (last, I said “yes” to a cheese making course. Lots of new experience, and since then, also a brilliant story for starting a conversation).
In my free time I enjoy gardening and growing herbs, vegetables and flowers in my little garden, travelling, taking long hikes and being in nature. When the Danish weather does its thing, I can spend hours doing jigsaw puzzles and watching movies. And personally, I do not mind the weather.
I am currently looking for a full time graphic designer position.
